I personally feel very satisfied doing this kind of action that helps me to put some order in my life

Continuing with my purpose of getting rid of more of the things I have accumulated in my house over the years than I acquire on a weekly basis, I also use a technique I have come to call “those that go in for those that come out”.

It’s nothing sophisticated, it’s a very simple concept to implement, but as with all habits that involve getting rid of goods we’ve grown attached to, it requires systematic repetition to make it effective.

Let’s say that this weekend we bought a video game, a pair of trousers and a book. Well, during that same period, the same number of objects of the same type must leave our “general stores”.

No more, no less.

I have already commented on other occasions, but clothes can be given the opportunity to live a second life by donating them to an association that is responsible for redistributing them, so I can’t think of a better destination for them, as long as they are in good condition!

Regarding books, videogames and things like that, through pages like eBay you can get some economic return, if you don’t mind keeping it in your warehouse for a while longer, or sell it in a second-hand store if you need to get it out of sight as soon as possible and you don’t mind getting lower prices.

The bottom line of all these questions is to be aware that in the current society we live in, we tend to accumulate possessions even if we only use them once, or worse, even if we don’t use them at all.

What is the point of all this?

Without going into ethical issues, I personally feel very satisfied doing this kind of action that helps me to put some order in my life.

And believe me, I need to tidy it up.

I’ve been accumulating comics since I was 10 years old, so I have a lot of work to do.
