Regarding all that buzz of IAs stealing our jobs

When it comes to technology, we’re living in exciting times.
In fact, we’re attending in the front row to a global change in how we manage human knowledge.
And this isn’t happening at a slow pace, for decades. It started in October 2022, and it’s changing day by day.
I’m speaking of IAs, of course.
All of a sudden we are able to speak to a knowledge base that can solve complex problems that most of us, poor humans, can’t.
Want a piece of code? There you go!
Want a picture of a horse riding on Mars’ sands? I can manage!
Want an essay on how Open Source software will change the AEC industry? Sure thing. 4000 words!
It is a normal thing that we may think that all these IAs will steal our jobs.
But let me tell you something:
They won’t.
You’re gonna lose it on your own.
If you keep on being a viewer of all this IA buzz, complaining about how fast the world is changing, you’re losing the opportunity that all this situation is putting in our hands.
Another hint:
No one can stop it.
Even with some main actors on the technological scene begging for it to slow down, the whole thing is so big and powerful that can’t be stopped.
So we better not only get used to it but start learning how to use these AIs and ways to implement them in our daily processes.
Doesn’t have to be all at once. You can start step by step.
Ask ChatGPT for ideas for your next article.
Ask Dall·e for an image to illustrate them.
Start learning how prompt structures work.
You’ll receive awful results at first, but with time you’ll start to get good results.
And before you realize it, you’ll see how you just implemented IA in your daily workflows.
Give it a try!
